18th Annual The Children’s Trust Family Expo

The Children’s Trust Family Expo returns on Saturday, August 1, 2026, bringing thousands of Miami-Dade families together for one exciting day of free family fun, valuable resources, and back to school preparation all under one roof. As Miami-Dade’s largest free family resource event, the Family Expo links parents and caregivers to dozens of organizations offering information on after-school programs, early childhood services, special needs resources, health and wellness programs, and other year-round support to children and families.

While parents explore a wide range of community resources and programs, children can enjoy free activities like face painting, arts & crafts, food trucks, character shows, and receive complimentary items such as backpacks and school supplies.

New this year, the Family Expo will feature a Scavenger Hunt for everyone from toddlers, infants, elementary, middle school, and high school children to explore multiple areas of the Expo and collect stickers to place on a map as they go. They can then redeem the completed map for prizes and a chance to enter a raffle for an even larger gift. Also debuting this year is a College Readiness Area at the Family Expo created to provide specific information and resources for teens looking ahead to a college experience, trade schools, or entering the workforce.

For a fourth consecutive year, The Children’s Trust is partnering with Uber to help with transportation to Family Expo easier than ever. Ride vouchers* covering up to $15 each way to and from the event are available for all who need them.
