Build a Reef — Clay Sculpture Class
Get creative this summer at the Wiener Museum of Decorative Arts (WMODA) in Hollywood, FL with hands-on workshops inspired by the museum’s Splash exhibition and the summer season. These engaging classes are open to ages 8 and up and take place among collections of ceramic art and studio glass inspired by marine life.
On Sunday, July 12 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., participants can join the Build a Reef – Clay Sculpture Class in collaboration with Ocean Rescue Alliance International (ORAI). Led by ORAI’s Educational Outreach and Program Coordinator Lindsay Humbles, this workshop guides participants in creating a “living reef” sculpture using air-dry clay and succulent elements while learning about coral reef ecosystems and conservation efforts.
The cost is $60 per participant, with nonparticipating chaperones allowed at no additional charge (up to three children per chaperone).
