Miami Beach’s Fourth of July Fireworks & Patriotic Concert at Lummus Park
This Independence Day, Miami Beach Classical Music Festival (MMF) brings its signature blend of live orchestral music and fireworks to Lummus Park for the Annual Independence Day Fireworks & Patriotic Concert.
On July 4 at 8:30 p.m., the festival’s Symphony Orchestra and Alumni Division singers, conducted by founder and artistic director Michael Rossi, will perform a program of Broadway favorites and patriotic classics, including Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, the Armed Forces Salute and “The Stars and Stripes Forever,” followed by a fireworks display over the ocean at 9 p.m.
Presented by the Ocean Drive Association and the City of Miami Beach, the free, family-friendly event is a longstanding South Beach tradition. Attendees are encouraged to grab a table at one of the nearby alfresco restaurants, such as LT Steak & Seafood, or set up beach chairs and blankets on the sand for the show.
Address: Lummus Park, Ocean Drive and 12th Street, Miami Beach, FL 33139
This event kicks off a string of July programming from MMF, including an immersive performance of Massenet’s opera Cendrillon (July 10 & 11), a Symphony Concert featuring the festival’s Conducting Institute fellows (July 12), and “Celestia, A Symphony of Light,” a 360-degree projection-mapped symphonic experience inside the historic Temple Emanu-El Sanctuary (July 16 & 18).
